December Minutes

Call to Order 1:08 PM,  Wednesday, December 10, 2025

 

Present:

         George Wacaser, Mike Cox, Gary Goldberg, Mark McCool, Marc Galloway, Tod Schwartz, Scott Kurkjian, Carl Pallas via phone, Warren Hickernell

 

Approve Minutes:

          November minutes approved with no changes.

 

Financial Report:

         The bank balance dropped due to the purchase of new baseballs.  Sarasota County requires us to have liability insurance and new board liability insurance is coming up in January 2026.  A motion to approve the financial report was made and approved.

 

Coordinator Updates:

         Mon A – Gary Goldberg – need  more players ranked “3”

         Mon B – Carl Pallas – no issues

Tues C – Warren Hickernell – need call-ups/players like the logos on the balls;

         Weds A – Mike Cox – no issues

Thurs C – Marc Galloway – Ken Eaton can’t play so getting refund;

Fri B – Todd Schwartz – no new issues

 

 

Member Reports:

         Marc Galloway – Bella Vita Italian Kitchen offered a good program for the Managers Appreciation Party on March 22,2026, Sunday, at 3:00 PM.

         

 

Old Business:

         Scoreboards-flip boards not feasible, idea set aside;

 

         Monthly Board Meeting Location-Osteria 500 good so far;

 

         

New Business:

         Discussion of Starting Game Times- starting games at 8:45AM is 

         Working;

 

         Bating Practice- will be an independent, informal group that wants

         to practice;

 

         New Balls - delivered and distributed – Mark McCool

         

         Home Plate Boards - delivered and distributed – Mark McCool

 

         Adding Home Base Line instead of putting plate out not endorsed;

 

Asking County to add more clay to fields- determined fields are better probably due to rain;

 

League Coordinators will now start inputting scores for that day;

 

Upcoming Board Elections- board elections will be held January 2026;

 

Next Board Meeting Location:

         Osteria 500, Lakewood Ranch, FL on January 14, 2026.
