Old Business

 

1.) Ad for SSSA appeared in a fundraiser publication for Knights of Columbus. BOD approved $100. payment from the advertising fund. More advertisements will appear in the Observer, and posters will be placed at various businesses. Luis will translate them into Spanish.

2.) 25th-anniversary shirt sales remain strong. Long sleeve shirts are now on order.

3.) Frank is updating the SSSA website. He has requested any old photos or stories of interest.

4.) A motion was made to allow Tim Manning to replace a player ( Monday Gold 2, Team 5). The previous player was rated incorrectly. Motion passed.

5.) Batting practice will continue on Tuesday and Friday. Attendance has been good, some new players are signing up to play. 

6.) The BOD agreed that any board member at a game can enter the field. Also, they can mediate disputed calls.

 

New Business

 

1.) KS presented the annual budget. Items discussed include expenditures vs. Last year, player fees, cost of fields, uniform costs, donations, etc. A vote to approve will be at the next meeting (July 14)

2.) Motion from RG2 regarding "Standard of Performance for Participation " was tabled for a vote at July 14 meeting.

3.) Clarified the rule concerning players who are not showing up for games. KS to handle one issue of this kind.
