SSSA BOARD MEETING MINUTES JULY 14, 2021

Attendees- Ken Shepard, Frank Lyons, Bob D’Angelo, Chuck Cason, George Wacaser, Ron Grande, Luis Negrete. Ron Giovannucci  (telephone), 

Absent- Jack  Zimmerman. 

 

     A.)   Call to Order -12:03 PM- 

B.) Review and Approval of meeting minutes from  June 9, 2021- Approved

C.) Review  and Approval of Financial Report- Approved

 

Old Business

  1. The annual budget for the period of 7/1/21 to 6/30/22 was discussed and approved by a unanimous vote.

  2. Standards of performance were discussed and vote was tabled to August meeting.

  3. Indemnification for board members. FL is examining offer made by West Chester/Chubb Insurance. Coverage would cost approximately $633.00 /year. It was agreed that we will investigate other SSSA leagues to determine if they have coverage and voter at next meeting.

  4. Vote on new registration fees was passed. Those playing one day per week will now pay $50. Those playing 2 or more days will pay $85.

           5.) Fall season important dates:  

> Fall season on line registration will start on August 20 and close         October 18.  

> Games to be played on the following days; Gold 1 Monday and Gold 2.

Tuesday -Thursday Silver.  Friday- Gold 1 and Gold 2- 

       There will be 20 play dates starting November 1 and ending March 25th

  • Days with no games scheduled will be  November 25-26 ( Thanksgiving ) December27-31 (Christmas)

  • Playoffs are to be determined

  • Combine date will be October 6th

  •  Draft dates to be as follows: Monday October 11 . Draft will be  for Monday Gold 1, Friday Gold 1. Monday Gold 2, Friday Gold 2. Tuesday October 12-  Tuesday Silver, Thursday Silver. The number of teams in each league will be based on the number of players that register.

  1.   Sponsor letters are ready to be sent out.

 

New Business     

  1.  Determine donation for Joe Barbieri charity.

  2.   Discuss the need for additional medical equipment. (Blood pressure reading, etc.)

  3.  Additional info on sign up form. Emergency contact phone number?          

       

 

Next meeting will be on August 18, 2021 at 17th St. Fields
