1.) Call to Order -     12:21 PM

 

2.) Meeting Minutes- From January 18, 2022 were approved.

 

3.) Financial Report - Was presented and approved. There are two players who have not paid dues.

 

Old Business

 

1.) Final update on Pizza days to be held on March 7&8.

 

2.) Update on election voting by mail .Paper ballot voting will be March 14&15. 

  

3.) Managers dinner on March 27. Status on RSVP results, invitations to founding members and former board members.

 

4.)  Discussed upcoming Amish games to be be played on February 23. The players from Manasota 50 leagues will not be used, as very few are on SSSA rosters .

 

5.) Summer League play – Registration for sign up will be on line by March 1. Players must register for draft by April 1.  On- line payment will be encouraged , also cash or check is acceptable. All payment will be due by April 18. 

 

Need volunteers to manage teams by March 25.  

 

Draft day will be held on Tuesday April 5 for all 3 leagues. (A,B,C). /Approximately 2 hours for each draft.

 

Play on Memorial Day, July 4, and Labor day will be decided by teams.

 

There will be 20 play dates. There will be no games from August 1-26. Restart to play will be August 29.

 

7. Protest from Monday B League – Involved Teams 2 &4 .It was determined that a rule was misinterpreted when a player taken ill left the game was ruled an out. Protest by Team 2 was upheld .Vote was taken to declare the game a tie. Vote passed.

 

New Business

 

1.) Roll out of a suggestion section on website.

 

2.) Batting mats were suggested, Discussion was tabled until new fields are constructed.
