President Chuck Cason called the meeting to order at 1pm. George Hawley, Gary Olson and Frank Lyons discussed website options. Our current web builder contract is with GoDaddy, costs $255 each year and ends this August. The rights to our domain name end August, 2020.
The minutes of the February 13, 2019 board meeting and February 22 special board meeting were both approved unanimously. The financial report was also approved 8-0.                                   

                                                      OLD BUSINESS
Chuck, Jack and Ken have called sponsors to confirm which ones will be attending the annual luncheon on March 27. We discussed the role board members will have at the luncheon.
There will be 2 open spots on the board next month. The board unanimously agreed to reappoint Dan Martin to the board and also ask Frank Lyons if he’ll serve. Chuck will contact Frank.
                                                      NEW BUSINESS
       1.  The summer season will start Wednesday, April 17 (gold league) and Thursday, April 18 (silver league.) Managers are still needed for both leagues. We’ll reschedule the draft for the 1st week in April (instead of March 20.) Ken will handle that.
       2.  The gold league player ratings and the Friday silver league ratings are finished. The Tuesday and Thursday silver league managers have been slow in responding.
       3.  Most pitchers now get behind the screen after releasing the ball. Ray Capatani refuses to do so. A motion was made, seconded and approved that he can play Monday, March 18 but will NOT be allowed to pitch that day. Blair McFarlane and John Winters also had issues in a recent game. A motion was made, seconded and approved 6-1 that John will be suspended from all league play for 1 week and placed on probation for 1 year. The board chastised Blair for his actions. Chuck will contact the offenders.
       4. Since this season is almost over games will continue starting at 8:30am. Next winter season we’ll start the games at 9am.
Next month’s meeting is 1pm, Wednesday, April 10 at the Fruitville Library. Today’s meeting adjourned at 3:30pm.
