January 2026 Minutes

Call to Order 1:07 PM,  Wednesday, January 14, 2026

 

Present:

         George Wacaser, Mike Cox, Gary Goldberg, Mark McCool, Marc Galloway, Tod Schwartz, Scott Kurkjian, Carl Pallas, Warren Hickernell

 

Approve Minutes:

          December minutes approved after the following change in the last sentence from “elections in January” to “elections in February”.

 

Financial Report:

         The Association is in good financial position, with all bills being paid.  A motion to approve the financial report was made and approved.

 

Coordinator Updates:

         1st Half Winners:

         Mon A – Gary Goldberg – Rosebay

         Mon B – Carl Pallas – Gulf Gate

Tues C – Warren Hickernell – Roberts Realty

         Weds A – Mike Cox – VFW

Thurs C – Marc Galloway – Der Dutchman

Fri B – Todd Schwartz – Ansel

 

 

Member Reports:

         Carl Pallas wants to make a rolling pitcher screen.

         

 

Old Business:

         Nominations for awards at Managers Dinner to be discussed at next         board meeting.

         

Marc Galloway suggested new award for each League.  His 

         Nominations are:

                  League A:  Mike Cox

                  League B:  Open

                  League C:  Hugo Parilla

         

Pre-advertised batting practice requires registration, therefore Todd 

         Schwartz made a motion to remove organized practice from website        and not have organized practices-did not pass;  Marc Galloway 

         Proposed to keep as is and remove practices or pay for reserving 

         fields during seasons-vote tied, therefore result is no advertised

         batting practices.

 

         Flip Score Cards are being tested with five (5) new flip boards.

 

         Five board members changed Steve Stoll’s rating from 2 to 1 on 

         Monday, January 12, 2026.

 

         Marc Galloway gave a summary of the Amish Games being played

         on February 25, 2026:

                  Game #1 – 9 AM - #1 & #2 rated players/Ohio Amish/

                                                      Scott Kurkjian mgr

                  Game #2 – 10:30 AM - #1 & #2 rated players/PA Amish/

                                                      Mark McCool mgr

                  Game #3 – Noon - #2 to #4 rated players/Indiana Amish/

                                                      Gary Goldberg mgr

                  Game #3 – 1:30 PM - #5 plus rated players/Indiana Amish/

                                                      Marc Galloway mgr

 

         Games will be 7 innings each game, last inning unlimited (up to 8

                                    innings).  

         Game shirts will be distributed on February 4, 2026 board meeting.

         Gary Goldberg suggested “Amish Games” on shirt-motion passed.

         

         Players on Roster must be Paid in Full Players.

 

New Business:

         

         League results were discussed in the “Coordinator Updates”

 

         Discuss Team Rosters for Amish Games on February 25, 2026.
