Approval of Minutes

January minutes were approved with no changes.

Financial Report

The Association is in a solid financial position, although the bank balance is lower at year-end after paying expenses and before next season income, which is normal. A motion to approve the financial report was made and approved.

Coordinator Updates

Mon A Gary Goldberg — Cancelled past Monday game due to cold. Note: contact George Wacaser so fields can be cancelled.

Mon B Carl Pallas — Cancelled past Monday game due to cold.

Tues C Warren Hickernell — No new issues.

Weds A Mark McCool — No new issues.

Thurs C Marc Galloway — Addressed a player complaint.

Fri B Todd Schwartz — No new issues.

Member Reports

Pizza Days at the fields are scheduled as follows: C League — March 12, B League — March 16, and A League — March 25. Pizza Days are sponsored by MJ Benefits and Archway Health.

Old Business

Amish Games Updates

Amish game shirts were distributed to attending coaches. Marc Galloway is working on donations with C League, and other Board members are collecting from their teams and leagues. Donations are also coming in online.

Board Candidates

Board candidates were discussed. The Board is waiting on final candidates.

Managers Dinner Awards

Names were discussed for the award. The award will be named in honor of past players and called the “Spirit Award.”

Electronic League Marketing

Mark McCool stated that marketing is performing well, with approximately 130 new player leads from Facebook ads showing interest in joining the league.

New Business

Amish Games

Amish Games are scheduled for February 25, 2026. Team rosters for all four SSSA teams were issued.

Upcoming Board Elections

The Board is waiting on final candidates.

Facebook Ads

Facebook ads resulted in approximately 130 new player leads.

Professional Liability Insurance

Professional liability insurance was issued by Smith Insurance and paid in full.

Stripe

The credit card processor issued a 1099 to SSSA.

County Electronic Payment Fee

The County now charges 2.45% for all electronic payments as of February 1, 2026.

Summer Registration, Drafts & Schedule

Summer Registration: Starts March 1, 2026.
New Player Combine: February 28 and March 14, 2026, for rating new players only.
A & B League Drafts: April 6, 2026.
C League Draft: April 7, 2026.
Summer Season: Starts April 20, 2026 and ends October 5, 2026.

Spring Golf Tournament Fundraiser

A spring golf tournament fundraiser for SSSA was discussed. It was suggested that ideas for fundraisers be considered and presented at the next Board meeting.
